TYhiruvananthapuram: The KPCC has finally been revamped with a 105-member executive committee which has been approved by Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
AICC general secretary Janardan Dwivedi called up KPCC chief Ramesh Chennithala approving the list, said KPCC organisational general secretary Thampanoor Ravi.
The new list includes all the union ministers from the state— A. K. Antony, Vayalar Ravi, K.V. Thomas, Mullapally Ramachandran, K. C. Venugopal, Kodikunnil Suresh and Shashi Tharoor and all the KPCC general secretaries.
However, none of the Youth Congress representatives have found a place in the committee.
Former Youth Congress leaders excluded from the list called on A. K. Antony on Monday at Indira Bhavan.
He assured them that when the KPCC executive is updated with special and permanent invitees, their names will be included.
He told them that what he had achieved in the long run was because of his stint in the KSU and the Youth Congress.
With the additional list expected soon, the KPCC executive is likely to become a jumbo list.
Ironically, the AICC had shot down the earlier list submitted by the KPCC citing that it was a jumbo committee.
