The year that was
Having no intention of turning into an actor whatsoever, Karthik ventured into the glam world as a model with a structural engineering degree. Over the year 2013, he has signed up for two movies, the lead role in Just Love and the negative role in Care of Footpath 2. He has even managed to build a massive female fan following that ‘mobs’ him from time to time!
The year that is going to be
“I’m taking it one thing at a time. Right now, besides all the shooting, I’m waiting for the Celebrity Cricket League that’s starting later in January,” says the all-round cricketer, complaining playfully that Sudeep is a very strict and focused captain who doesn’t let him party during the course of the league. He also hopes to be in the Bollywood scenario this year and take it to Hollywood from there, if possible.
The High
“I got a ‘Superstar’ tag prefixed to my name automatically. That has helped me gain popularity, which in turn has brought me offers from several directors,” says Karthik.
