Anam Ramanarayana Reddy reviews the progress of works
Nellore: Finance minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy reviewed the progress of various development works in Atmakur, the constituency represented by him on Sunday.
He visited Atmakur and Marripadu mandals and took stock of the progress of works. Interacting with the people, he reiterated the commitment of the government to complete the development works on time.
The minister assured the farmers that the government was trying to complete the works of the Somasila high level canal works with Rs 1,528 crore to meet the irrigation needs of the farmers.
He expressed confidence that once the works are completed drinking water needs of over three lakh people in Anantasagaram, Atmakur, Marripadu, Vinjamur and several other mandals would be met.
He added that the Somasila high-level canal works once completed would ensure irrigation water supply to an additional 90,000 acre. Later, he set stones for various development schemes to the tune of Rs 16 crore.
