A total of seventy-five artists paid tribute to the newspaper

In the first ever art show dedicated to a media organisation, 75 artists came together to pay tribute to Deccan Chronicle in Hyderabad this year.
Works of senior artists like Thota Vaikuntum, Fawad Tamkanat, Sanjay Ashthaputre and Ramesh Vedambhatla hung alongside canvases of the young and promising artists of the city like Akbar Mohamad, P.J. Stalin, Afza Tamkanat and Priyanka Aelay. The odes went beyond canvases with large to small installations by the likes of Srinivas Reddy and Manohar C.
In the May show, 42 pieces of art hung at Kalakriti Gallery while the 62 works that were displayed at the Salar Jung Museum were joined by two more works gifted last minute. This brought the total to a whopping 106 works.
