She may not have announced this as a resolution for the New Year but Sonakshi Sinha seems to be working on it already. The actress who has been mostly seen in Indian attire so far, is poised to sport the Western look in 2014. Both her upcoming releases 'Holiday' and 'Action Jackson', have her playing a modern woman dressed in Western wear.
A close associate of Sonakshi says, “For starters, she is on a weight losing spree. She hasn’t quite reacted to her detractors who have tried to criticise her physical appearance but now she is letting her actions speak. She’s not letting go of her desi appeal altogether since that is her USP. But experimenting with one’s wardrobe never harmed anyone.”
Sona, however, points out, with a laugh, “Well, I did wear Western outfits in Joker too but then people didn’t see that. She adds, “But since I am playing a city girl in both 'Holiday' and 'Action Jackson', I am getting into that space now.”
There is no denying the fact that Sonakshi has built an image of herself in the 10 films she has done so far, but the lady seems to be in a mood to experiment. “When I did films such as 'R... Rajkumar', 'Dabangg' or 'Son of Sardaar', I connected with them. But then I also did a 'Lootera', so the range was always there. Now, my next two films have something really interesting to offer as well. They will also show how serious I am about experimenting. Once an announcement is made by the makers, you will know,” Sonakshi says.
