APNGOs plan AP bandh on January 3
Hyderabad: APNGOs who are opposing bifurcation of the state have charted out a fresh agitation programme from January 3 to January 10.
After holding an all-party meeting on Saturday, APNGOs decided to start the agitation opposing the debate on Telangana Bill in the Assembly from January 3. After the meeting, APNGOs president P. Ashok Babu told the media that they have decided to call for a state-wide bandh on January 3 protesting the discussion on T Bill in the Assembly.
On January 4, they will organise human chains. On January 7, students will sit on relay fasts in a big way. On January 8, government employees will sit on relay fasts. On January 9, farmers across Seemandhra districts will hit the roads against the bifurcation.
On January 10, women from Seemandhra districts will be mobilised to protest the state division.
Ashok Babu said political leaders who attended the meeting expressed support to all agitations. The meeting was attended by minister S. Sailajanath, TD leaders Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy and Y. Babu Rajendra Prasad and Samajwadi state leaders.
But the other party leaders who were present in the earlier all party meeting were abstained on Saturday’s meeting.
