No one listens to me nowadays: Governor Bhardwaj vents his anger
Governor Bhardwaj expresses his willingness withdraw from his position.
Mysore: Upset over legislators’ behavior, Governor Hansraj Bhardwaj on Friday expressed his willingness to quit and ‘withdraw from his position’.
The Governor who is on a two day visit to Mysore, was speaking to the media at the Government guest house.
Answering a query by the media on the MLAs’ foreign tour, Bhardwaj expressed his frustration and said: “MLAs don’t visit their constituencies, they don’t even listen to us. In the current scenario, the position of the Governor has become irrelevant.”
He added, “I am tired of telling them, nobody listens. We would either have to remain mute spectators or quit. How long should we continue, it is better to withdraw and quit,” he said.
Speaking on the foreign tour by the legislature committee, Bhardwaj said, “I have no comments rather I am not in the position to comment about MLAs’ tours. They have obtained permission from the Speaker and the CM has sent them. If it would have been ministers, I could have said something,” he said.
