BJP’s mission 272+ missives
Chennai: BJP will leave no stone unturned in garnering support for its prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi. The latest initiative is: Mission272+.
Determined to secure absolute majority for the BJP to form the next government at the national capital, the party commenced darting email missives asking people to enroll themselves as volunteers and to interact with Modi.
Over 1,000 persons have already registered themselves, pledging to pitch in their efforts and time, as well, to ensure Modi occupied the top most post after the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. This organised national campaign, simultaneously launched in all the states, aims at creating a network of people per each Lok Sabha constituency, keen on taking up poll related work.
It seeks people’s a decisive mandate to elevate the “erstwhile commoner” to the nation’s highest office to deliver the best for 120 crore people on good governance and stability plank.
“They will be drawn from diverse fields such as corporates, those who could take time off their profession to work for BJP’s victory at the hustings besides college students. It is a big strategy that is sure to help our party secure majority on our own,” a senior leader said.
In fact, several key issues as the Mission272+ were discussed during a meeting of state office-bearers at New Delhi, recently. “This will be similar to the ‘Friends of the BJP’ movement launched by our party,” says Dr Tamilisaisoundararajan, national secretary.
Along with party general secretary Rajiv Pratap Rudy and national spokesperson Prakash Javadekar, she has been touring the country networking intellectuals and professionals to work for party’s victory.
Booth committee, committee on exhibition, finance and art and culture are among the 19 committees formed by the BJP to take up poll work at various levels. Mr Modi is likely to introduce parliamentary constituency wise conference concept in Tamil Nadu and dispatch senior leaders to deliver motivation talks to cadres.
