AAP's magic won't work in UP: Shivpal

Lucknow: Downplaying the threat posed by the rise of Aam Aadmi Party as a new political force, Samajwadi Party leader Shivpal Yadav today said the Arvind Kejriwal-led party's "magic" will not work in Uttar Pradesh and claimed that those who fought SP in the state were wiped out.

"AAP's magic will not work in UP... Many such (parties) had come here, there is only SP here in UP. Those who fought with SP have been wiped out," Yadav told reporters on the sidelines of a function. "They (AAP) talk too much.

My advice to them is to do some work and talk less. Those who talk much are finished early," the UP cabinet minister said. Earlier, Yadav inaugurated 22 big bridges constructed at a cost of Rs 94.35 crore and 12 small bridges constructed at a cost of Rs 11.24 crore.

He also inaugurated several rail overbridges and directed officers of state Bridge Corporation to timely complete the construction work of 100 other bridges.
