Kochi: The city is all decked up to welcome Xmas. Along with churches, hotels and shops, various other organisations have been conducting Xmas special programmes.
The city’s hotels and restaurants have prepared a rich menu for the festival while shopping malls have introduced special schemes.
Churches and shopping establishments are bedecked with various decorative items. The huge crib set up at the Little Flower Church, Elamkulam is attracting hundreds of visitors.
A bakery owner in Vallarpadam has made a cake in the shape of a miniature of the Vallarpadam church. Sajeesh, the bakery owner and his friends designed the theme cake featuring every minute detail of the church and it took 24 days to complete it.
He spent Rs 35, 000 to make the cake which is 12 feet long and six feet wide. In a secular gesture, ‘Metro Friends’, an organisation with which the BJP is associated, organised an Xmas event on Monday.
