‘I admire Vidya and Deepika’, Aditi Rao Hydari

Aditi Rao Hydari wants to have a memorable career much like her contemporaries Vidya Balan and Deepika Padukone.

Aditi Rao Hydari will be ending the year on a happy note with the success of her latest release 'Boss'.

The actress, who flaunted her bikini body in the film, says she hasn’t found the time to celebrate as yet. She says, “I spent all my time answering bikini related questions! Jokes apart, I was super happy with the success of the film but didn’t have any time to party because I started work on my next film with a very talented director called Manish Jha along with Arshad Warsi, Boman Irani and Kayoze Irani.”

Speaking about contemporary actresses she admires, Aditi says, “We are all working towards making a memorable career. I admire people whose journey is there for everyone to see. For instance, someone like Vidya Balan for her dignity, talent and being so unselfconsciously who she is. She is real and she is so respect worthy. The other person is Deepika Padukone for how she turned her career around.”

The actress herself has won a lot of fans with strong performances in films like 'Yeh Saali Zindagi', 'London, Paris, New York', 'Murder 3' among others.

Speaking about her fans she says, “Crazy fans are the biggest compliment. It takes a lot to walk up to someone and tell them how much you love them repeatedly. I get a lot of messages on Facebook and Twitter, I get hand written letters, sometimes I meet them at events and they feel thrilled that I remember them. Some write to me with their problems and have actually become friends. It’s amazing but this is just the beginning.”

While there has been a lot of buzz about the actress’ personal life, Aditi maintains that she is single and still looking for her ideal man. “I want someone who lets me fly and yet keeps me feet firmly on the ground. Someone I can respect and who can make me laugh. A good looking good person! Tall order?” she says with a laugh.

The actress who has quite an eye for beauty was recently the judge at the 'Kingfisher Supermodels' show on NDTV Goodtimes.

Sharing the experience the actress smiles, “It was fun, all the models had distinct personalities and had worked very hard. It was great meeting them and it was quite hard to pick a favourite.” So what does it take to be a supermodel? “She should be effortlessly commanding attention! One should have a distinct personality. When you’re unique you shine.”

While she is quite a fashionista on screen, off it she likes to play it in casuals. “Off screen, I’m usually in a pair of shorts and a ganji, I also love my camouflage cargos. On days that I have to go out, I love to wear feminine maxi dresses.”

Sharing her future plans, Aditi reveals, “I want to do memorable roles that stay with you long after the film is over, roles that people use as reference for the years to come. Quality to me is most important and quality comes with good directors who tell good stories and bring out the best in the whole team especially actors. I’m dying to do an epic romance.”

And when she is not shooting, Aditi is just like any other girl. “I like to do yoga, dance sing, hang out with friends, play taboo, pictionary and also cook,” she says.
