Kochi: Home minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan on Sunday said that he knew Abhilash Muraleedharan, the Malayali businessman in Gujarat, for the last 12 years.
Denying reports that he had business relationships with the controversial entrepreneur, the minister told reporters in Kottayam that his son Arjun was employed as a consultant with Muraleedharan’s firm. “My son who studied abroad got the job on merit. I have no business dealings with Muraleedharan.”
Radhakrishnan added that his son got the job even before he became a minister. “My son works for several other companies too as consultant.”
Meanwhile, government chief whip P C George disputed Radhakrishnan’s claim. George asked the minister to make clear how much salary his son was drawing from the company of Muraleedharan.
