Allari Naresh, our own Nutty Professor
Imagine putting on 23 kg of prosthetics that takes 5-6 hours to don and a couple of hours to take off. That’s what Allari Naresh had to do every day for shoot of his new Tollywood film 'Laddu Babu'.
“To get the look right, our team went to London. The prosthetics were made there. The team working on the sets are also from London,” says Naresh.
It was a tough task for the lean actor to look humongous. “It was really tough for the team because my face is very small compared to my look in the movie. The prosthetic team faced lots of problem initially.”
“During the shoot, just the make-up took 5-6 hours to complete and later, it took almost two hours to remove. Once the prosthetics were removed, they had to be disposed as they were for single use. We had many copies brought down from London,” he adds.
The actors says, “The make-up for the face weighed half a kilo. The chin was the toughest part to handle as it would fall off every time. Each hand weighed 2 kg and each leg 4 kg. Overall, it was 23 kg of extra weight.”
'Laddu Babu' is in its post-production stage and is set to release late January or early February next year.
