Aamir's 'Dhoom 3' gets grand opening at Box Office!
Aamir Khan's most-anticipated movie 'Dhoom 3', that got released on December 20, 2013, has taken the Box Office by storm in it's opening weekend. This YRF flick made a historic collection at the cash counters, with a whopping Rs 69.58 crore, including earnings from Tamil and Telugu versions, in just two days of its release.
'Dhoom 3', the latest installment in YRF's Dhoom series, has been creating positive buzz, ever since it was conceptualised. Hence, the hype and madness surrounding the movie, is quite obvious. Noted critic Taran Adarsh broke the news on Twitter, "All records shattered! #Dhoom3 takes the BIGGEST start ever [Hindi films] in USA-Canada. Collects $ 3.3 million [? 20.49 cr] in opng wknd." With it's superb 3-day collection, 'Dhoom 3' has smashed all the records of Shahrukh Khan's 'Chennai Express' and Hrithik Roshan's 'Krrish 3'.
'Dhoom 3' got released in approximately 4500 screens across the country. The movie made a record collection of Rs 33.36 crores nett on Saturday. It made a big jump on it's third day, Sunday, by collecting Rs 39+ crores nett at the Indian Box Office.
This multi-starrer thriller had a huge amount of advance ticket booking, registered 95-100% occupancy in both single screens and multiplexes across the country in the morning and matinee shows and its business improved further in the later shows on Friday.
