Decision on govt formation by tomorrow morning: Arvind Kejriwal

Kejriwal hinted that the decision on forming the new govt in Delhi would be taken by tomorrow.

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal today hinted that the decision on forming the new government in Delhi would be taken tonight or by tomorrow morning.

"Most probably tonight or early tomorrow morning," he told reporters here while replying to a question on feedbacks that the party was receiving indicated that AAP was preparing to form the government.

Asked whether he would be able to live up to the manifesto, Kejriwal said that the party would fulfil the strong manifesto, which was prepared with consultation with experts. Noting that the party has to have a few more meetings with the public on the issue of formation of the government, the AAP leader said, "The public choice is engaged in each and every step of the government formation."

Meanwhile, police officer-turned-civil rights activist Kiran Bedi wondered whether AAP was between "rock and hard place". "Is AAP between Rock & Hard Place? Are they very grass rooted? Or are they risk averse therefore require shared responsibility? Time will tell!" she tweeted.

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia on Sunday said that his party will not form the government to praise the Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) or the Congress and added that they will work find solutions to all issues including corruption.

"The trends are still coming but largely the people are in favor that the AAP should form a government in Delhi . But there are still some meetings, which will be held today," said Sisodia.

Sisodia further asserted that if the same trend were followed, then the AAP would not shy away from its responsibility to form the government.

"We will find solutions to the issues, which we have raised in our manifesto,"

"We did not ask for the support of the BJP and the Congress. We were ready to sit in Opposition. But it was them, who offered their support to us. They wrote a letter of support to the Lieutenant Governor. This does not mean that we will start praising them," Sisodia said.

"We will form Government for issues, not for praising BJP or Congress. We will form the government to work for the people and, to stop corruption," he added.

On Congress leader Kiran Walia recent statement, Sisodia said, "We don't know why Kiran Walia is making such statements. Only she can tell about her and her statements."

On Saturday, Walia told a news channel: "We have said we will not bring down your government. But the support is not for always. There's always the scope of a rethink if they don't deliver."
