Traffic curbs in place for deeksha from today
The city police has imposed traffic restrictions in the city from December 22.
Vijayawada: The city police has imposed traffic restrictions in the city from December 22 in view of the conclusion of Bhavani deeksha scheduled to be held at the Kanakadurga temple from December 23 to 27.
As part of the traffic regulations, heavy vehicles coming from Hyderabad on National Highway No. 9 will be diverted from Ibrahimpatnam to Mylavaram, Nuzvid and Hanuman Junction to proceed towards Kolkata.
Vehicles coming from Chennai will be diverted through Kanakadurga varadhi, Gannavaram, Hanuman Junction, Mylavaram and Ibrahimpatnam.
Vehicles proceeding to Kolkata from Hyderabad would be diverted at Suryaraopet, Khamma, Aswaraopet, Devarapalli and Nidavole.
Vehicles proceeding to Hyderabad from Kolkata would be diverted at Hanuman Junction, Nuzvid, Vissannapet, Tiruvur, Kallur, Khammam and Hyderabad.
Cars and private buses proceeding to Hyderabad will be diverted at Bandar Locks, BRP Road, tunnel, Kummaripalem and Gollapudi.
Likewise, private vehicles coming from Hyderabad will be diverted at Gollapudi bypass road, Yerrakatta, BRTS road, Gunadala and Ramavarappadu Ring Road.
The parking places have been earmarked at Bhavanipuram lorry stand, and at TTD’s open place at Kummaripalem. Vehicles coming from Eluru, Guntur and Machilipatnam should be parked at RTC
Ground opposite Padmavati ghat and at Rajiv Gandhi Park. Vehicles coming from Guntur should be parked at Rajiv Gandhi Park.
