Chennai: “Believe in god wholeheartedly and you may pursue your wish,” chief minister J. Jayalalithaa emphasised after participating at a Christmas celebration held by her party’s minority wing at the Nandambakkam trade centre.
Addressing the gala event attended by members of Christian associations and party cadres, she recalled the significance of celebrating Christmas and reiterated the preaching of Jesus Christ.
She also narrated a story of a blind person, an amputee and hideous man who sought for relief from their disabilities to a priest. State ministers, MPs and party office bearers also took part in the Christmas celebration.
