Harikesava, a self taught director, who has never assisted anyone in the film industry, has wielded the megaphone for a film, titled 'Agni'. Apart from direction, young Hari has also taken on the onus of story, screenplay, dialogues and lyrics and also plays the lead hero. Kavin Shree from Kerala plays the female lead.
He says, “I am a film buff. I watch all types of movies irrespective of the heroes who act in them. The story of 'Agni' is partially based on incidents that befell me in real life. It is a thriller where the lead protagonist is cheated by his lover and gets mentally deranged. He goes on an avenging spree and kills girls one by one. He thinks all the girls in the world are fake and that they use love to satiate their lust. My producer Gurunathan was very impressed with the way I narrated the script and immediately gave his nod. Since he felt that I fitted the main lead we didn’t look around for a newcomer.”
