Process on to nail Ganguly
Centre may move for Prez Reference against ex-Judge.

New Delhi: The UPA government may soon move towards making a Presidential Reference for removal of Justice A.K. Ganguly as head of the West Bengal Human Rights Commission in the wake of his indictment by a Supreme Court committee for “unwelcome behaviour” towards an intern.
Sources stated that the Union law ministry and the Union home ministry are in agreement that prima facie a case can be made out against the former the SC judge.
The matter has now been referred to Attorney General G.E. Vahanvati to work out legal details, sources added.
The matter has been referred to the AG to ensure that the case presented in the Presidential Reference is able to withstand the scrutiny of the apex court.
“Papers have come to us. I can say as of now that we have sent to legal department and then after obtaining their opinion, we will go ahead,” Union home minister Sushilkumar Shinde said.
