Prez to unveil Karunakaran's statue at the Kanakakkunu palace at 4.15 p.m.
Thiruvananthapuram: President Pranab Mukherjee will arrive in the state on a day’s visit on Friday.
Mukherjee, who will arrive at the Air Force technical area at 3.30 p.m. in a special IAF aircraft, will unveil the statue of the late K. Karunakaran at the Kanakakkunu palace at 4.15 p.m. He will then head to the Senate Hall to address the K. Karunakaran Foundation function.
He will leave for Kochi at 5.50 p.m. and inaugurate Yugasmrithi, the closing ceremony of the 150th birth anniversary celebrations of social reformer Ayyankali, organised by Kerala Pulayar Maha Sabha, at the Nehru international stadium, Kaloor, at 7.05 p.m.
He will return to Hyderabad at 8.25 p.m.
