Amineni Shivani advanced to the girls semifinals of the All India Tennis Association's Super Series U-14 tennis tournament.
Hyderabad: Hyderabad player Amineni Shivani advanced to the girls semifinals of the All India Tennis Association's Super Series U-14 tennis tournament, at the expense of her citymate Sivanuja Peddada, at Panchgani in Maharashtra on Wednesday .
Shivani also advanced to the last four stage of the doubles competition.
In the quarterfinals, Shivani registered a come-from-behind 4-6, 63, 6-4 victory over Sivanuja.
In doubles, Shivani paired up with Rachana Reddy and got the better of the pair of Prinkle Singh and Umera 7-6, 46, 10-8 to qualify for the semifinals.
