Mumbai: TV actress Rakhi Vijan, who is now seen in the popular TV show Madhubala, filed a complaint with Mumbai’s Santa Cruz Police and had a cab driver arrested after being subjected to lewd calls and SMSes for two weeks from him.
Jayesh Singh, a 29-year-old driver, was hired by Rakhi last month when she went to Shirdi.
Ever since he got hold of her number, the driver started bombarding her with calls throughout the day.
After she filed the complaint, the cops monitored her phone and tracked the address where Jayesh’s SIM was registered.
But when the address turned out to be fake, the cops tracked him with the help of one of the cab driver’s relatives and arrested him under Section 509 which deals with word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman.
