Bull run in tech city
Bangalore: A rogue bull, which created panic among residents in BharaÂtnagar and adjoining areas, was tranquilized early Wednesday by a team of BBMP forest volunteers near Herohalli.
The BBMP department at RR Nagar had received numerous complaints in this regard. The bull had reportedly been creating nuisance by charging at pedestrians and two-wheelers in BharÂathnagar on Magadi Road.
There were also complaiÂnts of the bull attacking woÂmen and children and some even suffered minor injuries while running away from it.
“Herohalli Corporator A.M.HanÂÂumanthe Gowda had informed me about the rogue bull moving all over the area wreaking havoc in BharatÂhnÂagar. It was charging at pedestrians, women and children and even at moving vehicles,” said Dr Captain Chandrashekhar, Assistant Director, Animal Husbandry, BBMP.
The BBMP team took six hours to locate and tranquilize the bull. It was around seven years old and weighed 300-350 kilograms. The bull was loaded in mini-truck and shifted to Kunigal temple as they were ready to accept it.
