Kozhikode: Washington Sundar's century helped Tamil Nadu take a 150-run lead against Kerala while the hosts, in reply, were struggling at 113 for 5 at stumps on the third day of the Cooch Behar trophy under-19 cricket match at Perinthalmanna on Tuesday .

Riding on Washington's fine knock of 143 runs, Tamil Nadu extended their score to 346 runs from their overnight score of 242 for 9. In reply, Kerala's cause was helped by a good second wicket partnership of 59 runs between Subin and Vishnu N. Babu (33).

But after the partnership was broken, Kerala sunk to 85 for 5. Kerala will pin all their hopes on overnight batsmen Balu B. and Suraj K.S. if they are to have any hopes of rescuing the match.
BRIEF SCORES: Kerala 195 in 88 overs (Subin S.
67, Jofin Jose 27, M.
Abhinav 4/35, Shahrukh Khan 2/28) & 113/5 in 48 overs vs Tamil Nadu 346 in 131 overs (Washington Sundar 143, Jagadeeshan 36, Nikhil 5/90).
