Himanshu Jain of APBSA emerged champion at the State Ranking Snooker Championship held in Hyderabad recently.
Himanshu defeated James Sunder Raj of Shooter Den 5-1 in the best-of-nine frame contest to clinch the title. Himanshu started the match on an impressive note, collecting points at ease.
The youngster looked calm and composed as he knocked the balls into the pockets with no sign of any pressure. James Sunder, who himself was in superb form throughout the tournament, had no answer as Himanshu wrapped up the proceedings in no time.
Earlier, Himanshu defeated Rajiv of LAK Kakinada 4-2 while Sunder beat Bala Krishna 4-0 in the other semifinals clash.
In the senior billiards championship, Shankar Rao of LVR, Guntur, defeated I.V. Rajiv 5-4 in the best of nine frames contest to clinch the title.
Ashutosh won the junior snooker title, beating Mani Kishore 4-0.
