Raghav’s Foundation will conduct an International Fide Rating (Below 2000) Chess Tournament from December 24 to 27 at Keshav Memorial College, Narayanaguda, Hyderabad.
The tournament will have a total prize money of '2,22,222, informed the foundation. The top ten players will also be given trophies along with cash awards. Other players will be given participation certificates.
Besides this, in an attempt to increase the number of early entries, the organisers have announced an ‘Early Bird Prizes’ '1,000 given to to top ten players among a limited number of early entrants.
Also, every winner of the last round from 51st to last table will be given surprise gifts, the organisers said.
Raghav Foundation has also decided to support student from the many government schools in the State. The trust will waver the entry fees for one student from a government school for every two names registered.
Free-of-cost accommodation will be provided for outstation players and an accompanying guardian, the organisers said.
