Hyderabad: With Hyderabad recording low temperatures between 11°C and 12°C in the past couple of days, the meteorological officials said the temperature could further dip to 8°C by the end of December. On Monday, the city recorded 11.9°C, which was slightly warmer than 11.4°C recorded on December 9. The Met officials also observed an increase in fog density.
“The Northeastern cold dry winds have now spread across the state. There is currently no system formation in the Bay of Bengal and this trend will continue,” said M. Narsimha Rao, assistant meteorologist, Meterological Centre, Hyderabad.
Adilabad recorded the lowest temperature of 8°C in the state. The minimum temperatures rose at one or two places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, but fell at many places in Rayalaseema. Meanwhile, the city will experience fog or mist all through the season during early mornings, said the Meteorological Department website.
