Venkat dons the khakhi uniform in his upcoming film 'Aa Aiduguru', in the role of an IPS officer heading a five-member team. “We actually received training by cops at a police academy for this film,” reveals Venkat.
“We showed them (the police) the script and they liked it very much. They trained us for over a month,” he adds.
The story is set against a political backdrop and features plenty of satire.
“An educated young chief minister works with a team of police officials to bring about change in society,” Venkat says about the storyline.
Revealing that all the action scenes in the film are original, Venkat adds, “We didn’t use any ropes or safety measures. I even got injured while shooting.” The film also features some real cops, as Venkat informs, “We shot a few scenes with real cops at the police academy.”
'Aa Aiduguru' is the directorial debut of Anil Gooduru. The film is currently in the post-production stage and is heading for a January end release.
Meanwhile, Venkat hasn’t signed any other projects. “I’m receiving a lot of offers but I want to play a powerful negative character,” he says.
