Having recovered from a shocking attack by a stalker, Shruti Haasan is focusing on making the right moves in her career. The pretty lass has already bagged a plum role in 'Welcome 2' opposite John Abraham and is now gearing up to share the screen with Akshay Kumar in 'Gabbar'. Incidentally, Shraddha Kapoor was initially approached by the producers of 'Gabbar' but had to opt out of the project after her dates didn’t match with those Akki had set aside for the shoot.
“Getting scattered dates from actors wasn’t part of the producers’ plan. Gabbar will be shot on a start-to-finish schedule and that has been made very clear to Shruti too, who has agreed to block a chunk of dates for the film. If all goes well, Shruti will join the Gabbar team in the first week of January,” a source connected to the project told us.
With Shruti giving her Bollywood career her best shot, we understand that she won’t want to miss out on an opportunity to team up with Akki.
