Kiran to face trouble inside party
Hyderabad: The Assembly session on Monday is likely to a stormy once again with Telangana and Seemandhra legislators making diametrically opposite demands.
Congress MLAs and ministers from the Telangana region are going to insist that the House discuss the Telangana Bill right away, while Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy and Seemandhra MLas want the Bill to be discussed in a special session in January 2014 as the President has given the Assembly time till January 23 to reply.
Seemandhra MLAs cite the communiqué received from the President, to insist that every member should be given an opportunity to state his or her opinion on every clause. For this, the members need time to understand the provisions.
But the T MLAs say that all provisions were in public domain for long, and there is nothing left for anyone to study. It remains to be seen how they will respond if the CM does not agree to take up the T-Bill.
TRS MLAs have also decided to bring pressure on the government to discuss the Bill from Monday. The government will face opposition right from the meeting of the business advisory committee, that sets the agenda for the session.
The YSRC has decided to demand the government to pass a resolution opposing bifurcation. The YSRC and Seemandhra Congress MLAs have given notices separately to the Speaker to allow them to move a resolution in favour of united AP.
