Model Resmi Nair becomes a playgirl

Rashmi Nair, from Kerala has been selected by the 'Playboy' magazine for their Miss Social contest.

Resmi R. Nair, is going international. The popular bikini model, recently became the first contestant from India to be selected for the Miss Social contest of international fashion magazine 'Playboy'.

Resmi, a small town girl from Kerala is gaining recognition, with her boldness and self confidence. “I am really happy about this, because it has been a long standing dream to be a part of 'Playboy'. This will be a milestone in my career. It was an online contest where they monitor a model's social activities,” says Resmi.

She says that the journey until 'Playboy' has not been easy. “I have been dreaming of getting an entry into the 'Playboy' team."

“For six months, I have been working hard for this by sending my portfolio. The criteria of selecting a contestant is based on the number of modelling assignments and social activities. Once we upload our portfolio to their website, it undergoes many examinations,” says Resmi.

Her selection to the Miss Social contest marks her entry as one of the models of the popular magazine.

“Now, I am a part of their team officially. I can participate in their contests and fashion programmes. As a Keralite, I am really proud of this achievement,” says Resmi.

Of the future, Resmi says that working in films is on the agenda too. “Until now, I was refusing films. I guess the right time has come now. I have committed to three films, but cannot reveal details now. A Tamil film is in the pipeline. But I am looking for a good story that will establish myself as an actor,” says Resmi.
