From child artiste to heroine

Swathy Shanmugham who has performed in more than 20 films as a child artiste is now a heroine. She has been roped in for a movie, titled 'Maalumi', which has debutant Santhosh as the hero. Apparently, Santhosh has taken on the onus of story, screenplay and dialogues apart from producing it.

Sivakumar directs Maalumi. “It’s a story about the tussle that arises after an IT company adopts some fraudulent measures that affect people living in a seaside slum; how the hero, who is a crusader, helps the people forms the crux of the film,” says Santhosh. Bhaskar of 'Agadam' fame composes the tracks.
