Thiruvananthapuram: Though she does not have any social media accounts, Sandhya Suresh, who shot to fame following her outburst at LDF leaders during the Cliff House siege, is making her presence in the social media in a big way.
‘Big Salute Sandhya’, a facebook page on Sandhya, opened by some of her well-wishers on Thursday, the day on which she took on the LDF leaders for blocking her road during a dharna, received nearly 23,000 likes till Saturday evening.
Several facebook posts on the news items about Sandhya’s outburst were liked by lakhs of persons and received thousands of comments expressing solidarity with her.
Meanwhile, the emotional outburst of the ordinary homemaker has also found a place in the national media. Over the last two days, Sandhya was busy attending telephone calls from media representatives.
Though some vernacular channels repeatedly sought her participation in live discussions, she declined with due respect. Sandhya has been receiving hundreds of calls from eminent persons and even NRKs appreciating her effort.
