'Forbes rich list is false', says Nagarjuna
Forbes magazine recently announced its list of top Indian celebrities for the year 2013. Pawan Kalyan, with a total earning of Rs 57 crore, topped the Tollywood list at an overall 26th position. He is followed by Mahesh Babu, with an earning of Rs 28.96 crore at 54th position.
This year's list also includes a few more Ttown actors such as Nagarjuna, with an earning of Rs 20.5 crore at the 61st position. However, Nag questions the veracity of the list.
“Forbes magazine's inaccurate portrayal of my income in the rich list is an inflated fantasy," claims Nag. Apparently, the publication had sent an email to Nagarjuna a couple of days before printing, and the actor had asked for sufficient time to revert with his numbers. But the magazine allegedly said they couldn't wait and informed Nagarjuna that if he didn't reply to their email immediately, they would go ahead with the figures they had. The actor then replied asking them to take his name o the list but the magazine refused to do that.
“Despite my repeated requests, my name appeared in their list with invalidated figures," Nag informs. Interestingly, none of the other actors featured in the Forbes list have complaints.
