New Delhi: PN Prakash of Karnataka won gold in the men's 50m Free pistol event at the 57th National Shooting Championship while Punjab's Malaika Goel captured the yellow metal in the women's section, here today.
Prakash shot gold with a fantastic score of 190.2 points while Kapil Kumar of Air Force (186.3) won silver followed by Army's Gurpal Singh (166), who bagged a bronze in the final of the event.
Malaika sealed a gold medal with 201 points, while Harveen Srao of Punjab won silver with 195.8 and Maharashtra's Shreya Gwande (174.5) claimed bronze in the women's 50m Free pistol competition.
In 50m Free pistol team event, Army's squad comprising Jitu Roy, Om Prakash and Gurpal Singh won a gold medal with 1657 points.
Silver went to Air Force's Kapil Kumar, Ravinder and Monu Tomar, who scored 1608, while BSF's Shib Kumar Ghosh, Ajay Kumar and Hari had to settle for a bronze medal after getting 1607 points.
In Air pistol team event, Punjab's Malaika, Harveen and Hina won a gold medal followed by Haryana team of Anisa, Gauri and Yashasvini and Air India's Anuraj, Juhi and Ruchi Singh.
