Big win for All Star

Hyderabad: In a high-scoring game at the open basketball tournament in Hyderabad, All Star Club defeated Boys Sports Company by an 86-68 scoreline

All Star Club ruled the roost, winning a high scoring match against Boys Sports Company 86-68 at the open basketball tournament, being played at the Victory Playground in Hyderabad.

It was a riot right from the start as both teams went on a scoring spree. For the first three quarters, it was neck-and-neck between both the sides but All Star gathered steam in the final quarter to take a healthy lead and eventually win the match by 18 points.

For the winning side, Chandrahas top-scored with a whopping 36-point return. For BSC, Amarjeet (22 points) and Teja (21 points) did most of the scoring.

Meanwhile, NPA registered a thrilling one-point victory against Hyderabadi Nawabs 4241. Both sides matched each other from the start of the match, and till the dying moments, it was anyone's game.

But with seconds left on the clock, NPA scored a crucial basket to edge to victory .

For NPA, Kaku top-scored with 20 points and received good support from Akram, who scored nine points.

For the Nawabs, Indrajeet was the best, with 15 points and had support from Saketh (12 points). The NPA cashed in on their momentum to score a 23-10 victo ry over the Fateh Maidan s Basketball Club. In this encounter, Faraj was the star for NPA, with 10 points while for FMBC, Muzzammil scored six points.

In another match, Secunderabad Club defeated Hustlers 30-22. Abhiram was the top-scorer for Secunderabad Club, with 12 points while for Hustlers, Prateek shone with 10.

Hustlers put the disappointment of that defeat behind them with a nervy 22-19 victory against Volatiles. Pratiek (9 points) and Tanveer (5) combined well for Hustlers while for Volatiles, Mouninder (9 points) and Sashi (7) did the bulk of the scoring.

In other matches, Tenacious Ten defeated Kukatpally Housing Board (KPHB) 47-30, HCU edged past Iron Clads 29-26, OMC beat YMCA Hyderabad 3122 and HCU got the better of OMC 27-20.
