Nellorian’s film over corruption
Nellore: Vendrathi Bhaskar Rao, producer and director of an upcoming message-oriented film Prabhanjanam, said that his film deals with routes of corruption and revolves around four engineering graduates’ fight against the social evils and flaws in the system.
The third schedule of the movie is in progress in and around Nellore since a week.
An alumnus of REC, Warangal, Rao was born and brought up in Bitragunta of Nellore district.
The sixth son of a class IV railway employee, Rao came up in a hard way. He lived in social welfare hostels during his school days.
Speaking to this newspaper here on Thursday, he said that the ordeals he faced during his childhood is the inspiration for him to produce and direct the film although he had no exposure to film production in the past.
An engineer in metallurgy, Rao had worked in HAL and was associated with Loading Gear Project of Light Combat Aircraft in HAL.
He was grown to the level of director of a South African firm ‘Western Foundry’ at Ghana. He joined as engineer in 90s and went up the ladder.
Rao said that his film is different from films like Aparichitudu, Bharateeyudu and Tagore although the theme is corruption.
