Chennai: Chennai jumps into the hot list of lucrative real estate destinations of the Asia Pacific investment community. For the first time, the city has finally found its place among the top 25 favourite locations of domestic and global real investors who are looking for some value for money.
Chennai has for the first time come under the focus of realty investors who are looking at newer cities with stable assets for investments. This will be prominent trend among investors in 2014, said a PwC survey titled ‘Emerging trends in real estate in Asia Pacific 2014’.
The global real estate consultancy firm in its report on the investment opportunities in Asia Pacific region noted that Chennai ranks 22nd in investment and 21st in development list of investors while Bangalore and Mumbai have slipped to 20th and 23rd positions compared to 2013 rankings where they stood at 19th and 20th position, while Delhi maintained its ranking at 21st position.
