Anil is a marathon runner
Anil Kapoor has done it again. After a filmy career of three-and-a-half decades already, he has managed to strike gold with 24. With the first season being received well, Anil is now looking to begin work on the second season. With so much success coming his way, Anil seems to be one of the few Indian stars who have nailed it — TV, Bollywood and Hollywood.
Anil says, “I am no exception. I believe that every ambitious and hard working person I have met has enjoyed an innings like mine. People who love their profession dearly, be it in films or otherwise, are bound to scale certain heights that they truly deserve. I am in the fourth decade of my career and enjoying every day of it.”
On the film front Anil has Welcome Back and a Rajkumar Santoshi film next. The second season of 24 would further occupy his 2014 calendar. “Well, I believe in running a marathon and not a 100 metres dash,” he says. “The brand equity is what I have built over the years. I guess one should always be in a position to say ‘no’ while choosing work. In that aspect, I have been fortunate.”
Despite his heavy-duty professional commitments, Anil’s priority continues to be his family. He says, “That will always be the case. I have successfully juggled my family and work for years. The only minus point is the jet lag when I am travelling.” He adds on a lighter note, “Sometimes in the night, whether I am in India or the US, I wake up for an hour or two. I am getting used to that.”
