Bengaluru: The top seed B.R.Nikshep began his campaign in style beating Pranash Babu of Tamil Nadu 6-2, 6-2 in the opening round of the R.T.Narayan Memorial National series U-16 junior tennis championship at the KSLTA courts here on Monday.
In the girls section, all top 16 players got a bye to the second round, but there were some interesting contests among the other unseeded players in the main draw. State players like Sonashe Bhatnagar, Chaitali Narde, Nikita Pinto notched up impressive wins and moved into the second round.
