Hyderabad: With the launch of the latest high definition video conferencing facility at the AP Secretariat, the state now has the largest video conferencing facility in the country and possibly the world.
Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy on Monday inaugurated the mandal-level video conferencing facility connecting 23 district collectorates and 1,126 mandals across the state. The high definition video conferencing facility will allow 100 simultaneous video-conferences and is possibly the world’s largest such facility.
After inaugurating the facility, the CM said that this video conferencing facility would help the government conduct multilevel video conferencing with no loss of time.
“It will bring absolute transparency in the government’s functioning and take administration to the people’s doorsteps,” he said. “This will help the government, the district administration and the people in cyclone, drought and flood preparedness,” the CM?said.
The facility will work on the Andhra Pradesh State Wide Area Network, which serves as the system’s backbone.
