Kannada actor Harsha, parents threatened, robbed
Bangalore: A Kannada film actor along with his parents and a relative were threatened and robbed by 4 unidentified drunk miscreants at Vinayaka Layout in Nagarbhavi second stage on Sunday night around 10 pm.
The victims were having dinner with their front door open. The robbery occurred at the home of P. Harsha, house no. 336, Vinayaka Layout. Harsha has acted in the recently released Kannada movie Rajahuli.
He told the police that he entered the house and was talking to his parents and a relative when 4 unidentified, armed and drunk miscreants barged in and threatened to kill them if they cried for help.
They made the actor’s mother open the bureau, where the gold ornaments were kept. While one robber was taking the ornaments and cash from the bureau, the others were holding the victims at knife point.
The miscreants later locked the four inside a room and escaped with '1 lakh cash, gold and other valuables, worth around '8 lakh. Before leaving, they have also damaged the mobile phones of the victims.
After the accused escaped, the actor, who had another phone, informed a relative.West division Deputy Commissioner of Police D.C. Rajappa visited the spot and formed teams to hunt for the accused, who appeared to be professionals. None of the victims were injured. The Jnanabharathi police have registered a case.
