Kozhikode: Thiruvananthapuram grabbed the women's title from defending champions Palakkad, 71-54, in the final match of the 58th senior state basketball championship held at Thrissur on Sunday . Riding on international players P.S Jeena and Stephy Nixon, Thiruvananthapuram easily thwarted threat from Palakkad team. Jeena was the top-scorer for the capi tal team as she netted 37 points followed by Stephy Nixon (14).
