Vijayawada: Students enthusiastically participated in a 3 km run on the MG Road on Sunday, in a bid to create awareness among the public on the drawbacks of consuming liquor.

The 3K run was organised as part of the anti-alcohol campaign ‘All Ka Hell’ initiated by students of the Andhra Loyola College’s visual communication department.

The run started from the Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium and culminated at the college premises. Students and faculty members of all other disciplines too participated in the run.

Students staged skits regarding drunken driving, health issues and other ill effects of alcohol consumption at major centers like DV Manor Centre, Benz Circle and Ramesh Hospital.

They shouted slogans and displayed placards with catchy yet thought-provoking quotes like ‘Think before you drink’, ‘Alcohol, ticket to hell’, ‘Be quicker to leave liquor’, ‘Kill alcohol or it will kill you’, ‘If you drink, you sink’ etc. College vice-principal Fr Rex Angelo flagged off the run.
