One of the lucky few to achieve overnight stardom in Tollywood, Sampoornesh Babu has been making headlines even before the release of his debut film 'Hrudaya Kaleyam'. In fact, the newcomer has even been given his own title of ‘Burning Star’ as is popularly done for famous actors.
Lovingly called Sampoo by his fans, the actor claiming to be a ‘US return’ actually started out as a junior artiste, according to a source. A video clip from Srikanth-starrer Mahathma has been doing the rounds online lately and Sampoo is seen in one of the scenes as a junior artiste. He is believed to have done many bit roles in other films but largely went by unnoticed, until now. Junior artiste or not, the fact remains that Sampoornesh is one of the most loved actors in Tollywood today with a huge fan following. Besides Steven Shankar’s Hrudaya Kaleyam, which he promises will add new meaning to filmmaking in Tollywood, Sampoo has also bagged a role in Maruthi’s film Kotha Janta. While Allu Sireesh and Regina Cassandra play the lead roles, Sampoornesh has a significant part.
