If Shahrukh Khan (SRK) made it possible to come out with a blockbuster, like Chennai Express, shot on a train, here is an aspiring young talent, N. Ramakrishnan (NRK) who is trying his hand at a theme, titled Chikkiku Chikkikichu, which too is set on a moving train. Apparently, Ramakrishnan has won an award at the Naalaya Iyakkunar Season 2 for his short with the same title. While Mithun, who debuted with Chennayil Oru Naal, plays the male lead, Mridhula is the leading lady. Adhavan appears in a pivotal role.
Ramakrishnan says, “It’s a romantic film which takes place over one night on a train journey between Chennai and Nagercoil. My hero’s name is Chidambara Krishnan and friends call him ‘Chikki’. Hence this title. I also won awards for directing it as a short film for a TV channel,” he reveals.
