The next installment of the 'CBI' series which incidentally is the fifth of the series will have Suresh Gopi playing the lead. A little birdie says that the story will take over from the point where Mammootty has retired as the head and Suresh Gopi takes his place.
While the lookout for the female lead has been going on, there are whispers that Meghna Raj would most probably be considered for it. When contacted, director K. Madhu says, “Yes, I won't deny that we are in talks with Meghna for the role though nothing has been confirmed as of now. The confirmation can be given in four days time."
Meghna is currently busy with the shoot of her Diphan directed film 'Dolphin Bar' and also has 'The Good, Bad and Ugly' as her upcoming releases.
This will be the first time that Mammootty would not be playing the lead in a 'CBI' installment and that itself had created an early buzz. The thriller will shortly be on the floors.
