After much hype and censor hassles, Vedivazhipadu has been handed an 'A' certification. However, the team is unaffected.

“When I went to meet the Censor Board members the only doubt I had was whether they would provide the film a U/A or an A certification. It's not because of any particular scene in the movie, but because of the overall content. There are some issues we discuss in front of kids and some that we don't. The movie deals with the latter. Besides, many films are given 'A' certification these days and the only reason people noticed this movie is because of the previous censor hassles," says director Shambu.

He adds confidently, “The movie was never intended as something for small kids and I did not expect any long queue of students in front of the theatres screening it. The movie is meant for a specific audience and I don't think the certification will affect them in anyway."

The film starring Indrajith, Mythili and Murali Gopy wil hit the theatres on December 12.
