Bangalore: The police, who are on the lookout for the man who stole former athlete Ashwini Nachappa's two debit cars, have reportedly identified the accused. The police said that he would be arrested very soon.
The police had got the CCTV footage of the man withdrawing cash using Ashwini's card at an ATM in Jayanagar. They had also got photos of the event, where the cards were stolen.
“It is found that the man who was moving around suspiciously at the ground during the event is the one who is seen withdrawing cash at the ATM. We have identified him and are behind him on various clues. He would be nabbed soon,” a police source said.
Ashwini Nachappa's two debit cards were stolen when she attended a sports meet at Kittur Rani Chennamma Ground in Jayanagar on Tuesday morning. The thief withdrew Rs 2.4 lakh using the cards.
