Chennai: Tamil Nadu's Snehadevi Reddy, who has been making waves in the junior tennis circuit, has been given a direct entry into the main draw of the junior Australian Open by virtue of her current ITF rankings (68). Snehadevi is the current Asian junior champion and only the second Indian after Sania Mirza to hold the continental title. The 16year-old had earlier competed in the qualifiers of the French Open juniors but failed to make it to the main draw.
